Annie Mae Cowart Zipperer

Annie Mae Cowart Zipperer, age 91, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was a native of Swainsboro and had lived in Savannah for most of her life. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Zipperer was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Cowart and her second husband, Ulie Zipperer, as well as three children, Johnny Cowart, Margaret Goodman and Thelma Greenway.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Raiford and Patty Cowart of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and William Hall of Faulkville; a brother, Gordon Samples of Pooler; three sisters, Sally Jernigan of Seneca, SC, Lucille Proctor of Martinez, GA and Annie Laura Saunders of Garfield, GA; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
